Babysitter Utilization Support (university contract)

1. Information on the Babysitting Utilization Support Program to help in cases where usual childcare is not available for all faculty members and students (Mothernet)           ― infants/postnatal children, overtime work, working on holidays, and other circumstances.―

Hitotsubashi University has recently concluded a corporate contract with Mothernet Corporation(https://www.mothernet.co.jp/) to implement the “Program to Support the Research Activities of Female Researchers,” creating a babysitter dispatch childcare support service.

Participants in the program must register their children in advance. In case your child has a sudden fever and cannot attend daycare, you can have a babysitter dispatched to your home to watch over and care for your child by making a reservation by telephone or email. Furthermore, we can arrange childcare at home during overtime hours or on holidays if you are unable to use your usual childcare for some other reason.

(1) Intended Users

In addition to regular childcare services, childcare for children with illnesses is also available.

 Details are as follows:

Childcare is also available to children who have chickenpox, mumps, pool fever, or other diseases.

In the case of influenza (including new-type influenza), a vaccinated babysitter can take care of children.

For children with fevers of over 39 degrees, childcare is possible only if parents (guardians) are also at home. Childcare is unavailable in cases where a child has a fever of over 40 degrees.

We can handle medical issues such as medications, but not pediatric consultations and medical practice.
